RESOLUTION #114-73 (As Amended)
AUTHORIZING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PROPOSAL TU THE
WISCONSIN COUNCIL OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has requested permission to
apply to the Wisconsin Council of Criminal Justice for
aids to cover 7516 of the cost of the development of a
program encompassing three community service officers and
three police agents, and
WHEREAS, the Safety Committee has determined that a new
personnel structure using community service officers
could lower the per capita costs for the taxpayers of
the City of Muskego, and
WHEREAS, they have recommended to the Common Council that
the Chief of Police be authorized to submit a request for
aids,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego does hereby authorize the Chief of Police
to apply for state aids through the Wisconsin Council of
Criminal Justice for the purpose of defraying a portion of
the cost for up to three community service officers and
three police agents.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to
execute the necessary document in the name of the city.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that final review of the proposed re-
organization will be made by the Common Council upon the
receipt of an indication of acceptance by the Wisconsin Council
of Criminal Justice.
