AMENDMENT TO CAPITAL BUDGET e WHEREAS, the unusual weather of the last several months has
imposed an excessive burden on the Public Works Department,
and
WHEREAS, this additional burden has prevented the Public Works
Department from doing the normal maintenance of roads, drainage
ditches, etc. and does not allow the time needed to accomplish
some of the major programs anticipated in the 1973 Capital
Budget, and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee has recommended that the
plans for reconstruction of Kelsey Drive be postponed until
1974, and that those monies be transferred to storm drainage
in order that private contractors can be hired to handle some
of the reconstruction of drainage ditches, etc.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby amend the Public Works portion of the
1973 Capital Budget by transferring $75,000.00, Road Improvement,
to S tom Drainage.
BE IT E'URTHER RESOLVED that the Public Works Committee is
authorized to hire outside contractors for such work that they
deem necessary and which the Highway Department would not have
sufficient time to complete this year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Works Committee is
authorized to receive bids for those projects which in the
opinion of the City Attorney w uld require public letting. P,
