INDICATING A WILLINGNESS To USE INDSUTRIAL
REVENUE BONDING
WHEREAS, Industrial Revenue Bonds are now available for use by
municipalities, and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the bonds are to aid municipalities
in attracting new industry and to retain existing industries,
and
WHEREAS, it is a means by which funds can be provided to aid
in the purchase of industrial land and equipment, construction
of new buildings or finance the expansion of existing plans,
and
WHEREAS, the use of revenue bonds could be an aid to the City
of Muskego in the promotion of its industrial park and is of
particular value since the bonds do not affect the debt limit
of the cornunity , and
WHEREAS, one of the first steps needed to initiate this kind
of bonding is an indication of the governing body of their
willingness to use it,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego approves of the issuance of Industrial Bonds and
shall actively encourage economically sound companies to expand
or locate within the environs of such municipality considering
the possibility of development pursuant to the Industrial Revenue
Bond Law.
