AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION WITH THE MUSKEGO-
,
NORWAY SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE CONSTRUCTION
OF SIX TENNIS COURTS Y
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego has the opportunity participate
with the Muskego-Norway School District in the construction
of six tennis courts under the LAWCON Program, and
WHEREAS, under this program the federal government will pay
50% of the cost, the school district will pay 25% and the
City of Muskego 25%, and
WHEREAS, a cooperative venture such as this can provide
additional recreational facilities to the citizens of Muskego
at a reasonable cost, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee, as well as the Park and
Recreation Board, have recommended that the city participate
in this venture,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby agree to participate with the Muskego -
Norway School District in the construction of six tennis courts
under the LAWCON Program at a cost of $8,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this expenditure will be charged
against the Park and Recreation Budget for the year 1973.
