INDICATING A WILLINGNESS TO ALLOW A PORTION OF CITY
OF NEW BEFZIN TO CONNECT INTO CITY SEWER SYSTEN
(Linnie Lac)
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego has received several requests from
residents of the Linnie Lac area in the City of New Berlin adjacent
to the City of Muskego for permission to connect into its municipal
sewer system, and
WHEREAS, a joint meeting between officials of the City of New
Berlin and the City of Muskego resulted in the general agreement
that if such connection were possible it would be of mutual
advantage to both communities, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to establish Muskego's interest in
providing, if feasible, sewer service to the Linnie Lac area of
the City of New Berlin,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby indicate its willingness to consider providing
municipal sewer service to residences and businesses in the Linnie
Lac area, subject to the following:
1. That there is sufficient capacity in the northwest
treatment facility to effectively treat the additional
volume of sewage.
2. The present infiltration problems can be solved.
3. That use of Muskego's sewer system by the residents of
the City of New Berlin would not prevent citizens of
Muskego who have paid or are paying their sewer assessment
from connecting into the sewer system.
4. That the total cost would be absorbed by the City of New
Berlin or its residents.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be sent
to the City Clerk of the City of New Berlin and the Waukesha County
Health Department.
