GRANTING A SOLID LANDFILL PERMIT TO
NORMAN THOMAS
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission, after public hearing, has recommended
that a solid landfill permit be granted to Mr. Norman Thomas, and
WHEREAS, that recommendation is set forth in Resolution # P.C. 4-73,
As Amended, adopted by the Plan Commission at their meeting held
January 2, 1973.
Muskego does hereby grant to Mr. Norman Thomas a solid landfill
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
permit for the year 1973, subject to the following.
1. That he also receive a permit from the Department of
Natural Resources.
2. That in order to provide adequate screening and to insure
the use of the premises by only authorized persons a fence
acceptable to the Plan Commission shall be provided along
Tans Drive.
3. That a $35,000.00 bond be provided to the City of Muskego.
4. That assurance be provided that proper equipment will be on
the premises to insure compaction and coverage.
5. That the hours of operation of the landfill be limited to 7:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M.
6. That no operation will take place on Sundays.
7. That there is Strict compliance to Ordinance #194 (An
ordinance Requiring the Licensing of and Regulating Landfill
Disposal Sites) where applicable.
8. That the material being hauled to the site does not contain
any food particles or putrescible material.
9. That it is the understanding of Mr. Thomas and the City of
Muskego that the total restoration of the site by solid landfill
method will be completed in three years.
10. That "No Trespassing" or "Danger" signs be placed on the
West property line.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk is authorized to issue the
permit when the applicable conditions of this resolution have been
met.
