RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS
(Northwest District - H-8)
WHEREAS, the Common Council has made a determination of
the total cost of constructing a sanitary sewer collection system
within the City, and of the amount to be paid in respect to the real
estate within the City benefited thereby, all in accordance with
proceedings duly had pursuant to law. -*

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
(1) The special assessment schedule which is filed
with the City Clerk as part of the Report of the City
Engineer relating to special assessments for the con-
struction of a sanitary sewer collection system within
said City, which Report was adopted as the Report of
the Common Council, is hereby made a part hereof as
though fully set forth herein, and, for the purpose of
paying a portion of the cost of constructing and in-
stalling the sanitary sewer collection system within
the City, there is hereby levied and assessed against
each of said lots and parcels of land the respective
amount set opposite the description of said respective
lots and parcels of land in said assessment schedule.
(2) The properties listed in the assessment schedule
and against which the assessments are hereby made are
hereby declared benefited by said improvements, the
assessment being on a reasonable basis and not to
exceed, in the aggregate, the average cost of installa-
tion of an 8-inch sanitary sewer having an average depth
of 10 feet.
(3) Said assessments, except those upon agricultural
lands, may be paid in ten annual equal installments,

upon the unpaid balance of the assessment.
(4) The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of
this installment assessment in the form attached hereto
as Exhibit "A" by publication of a copy thereof in the
Lakeland Hub, the official City newspaper, which is likely
to give notice to the persons affected, and by mailing
a copy thereof to every interested person whose post
office address is known, or can with reasonable diligence
be ascertained.
(5) In all cases where owners of property against whom
assessments shall be made shall file with the City Clerk,
within thirty (30) days from the date of the aforesaid

notice, a written notice that they elect to pay the
special assessments upon their property on or before
November 1, 19 - 7x, special assessments payable in in-
stallments shall not be made against said property of
such owners, and such owners shall pay the entire
assessment in full.
(6) In the event a person so elects to pay such assess-
ment on or before November 1, 19=, but fails to do so,
the entire amount of SUC assessment, together with
in teres t thereon from L", 193, to
cent per annum, shall be entered in the tax roll for the
year 19 7% and collected as are other taxes of the City,
on a ten (10) year installment basis.
(7) After the time for making such election shall have
expired, such assessment shall be due and payable in
installments as aforesaid, but any assessment may be
paid in full before due only upon the payment of interest
to date of prepayment upon such assessment, plus one year's
interest on the then unpaid principal amount of such
assessment.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a contract is about to be i
0 let for the installation of a collection system including laterals,
lift stations and appurtenances to the Sewer System in the City
of Muskego, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, in the following area:
All of Hillendale Heights Subdivision except Lots 1 and 14,
Blk A and Lot 9, Blk B; all of Hi-Y Ranches Subdivision; Lots . 33, 34 and 35 of Hillview Subdivision; all unplatted lands
lying along Hillendale Drive from C.T.H. "Y" to Hillview
Drive; all unplatted lands lying along Hi-Y Drive from the
west line of Hi-Y Ranches Subdivision to Racine Avenue
\(C;T.H. "Y")
and that the amount of the special assessment therefor has been
determined as to each parcel of real estate affected thereby, and a
statement of the same is on file with the City Clerk of said City;
it is proposed to collect the same in ten (10) installments, as
provided for by Section 66.54, Wisconsin Statutes, with interest
thereon at per cent per annum; that all assessments not
deferred as agricultural will be collected in installments as above
provided, except such assessments on property where the owner of the
same shall file with the City Clerk within thirty (30) days from the
date of this notice a written notice that he elects to pay the special
assessment on his property, describing the same, to the City Treasurer
on or before the next succeeding November 1. If after making such
election, said property owners fails to make payment to the City
Treasurer, the City Clerk shall place the entire assessment, together
with interest, on the installment basis.
