CCR1972094RESOLUTION #94-72
URGING THE COUNTY TO CONTINUE TAX SETTLEMENTS
AS PRESENTLY PROVIDED FOR
* WHEREAS, it has been the practice of the Treasurer of Waukesha
County to prepay all property taxes the payments of which had
been deferred to July 31st of each year, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of the County Board is considering
the possibility of discontinuing this practice, and
WHEREAS, the Muskego Norway School District and the City of
Muskego plan on that prepayment in their budgeting procedure,
and
WHEREAS, the necessity to borrow needed funds would be more
expensive for the local community than if Waukesha County had
to borrow monies to continue said practice,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby urge the County Board of Supervisors to
consider the hardships on the local community and take whatever
action is necessary to assure the continuation of the present
practice.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be
sent to County Board Supervisors Morton Smith and Elwood Albers.
