AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE COMMITTEE TO TAKE
OPTION ON A DREDGE FROM KUPFER IRON WORKS
e WHEREAS, it has been recommended tha.t consideration be given to the possibility of the City of Muskego purchasing a dredge as
an aid in the restoration of the lakes within the city, and
WHEREAS, a dredge which might serve that purpose has been
offered for sale to the city by Kupfer Iron Works for $80,000.00,
and
WHEREAS, time is needed to make certain that this particular
dredge is the one that can best suit the city's needs, and
WHEREAS, a sub-committee of the Watershed Commission has
recommended that an option on the dredge be taken which would
give them additional time needed to evaluate the effectiveness
of the dredge,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby authorize the Finance Committee to take
a three month's option on the dredge offered for sale by the
Kupfer Iron Works.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the option shall be in the amount
of $200.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk are authorized
to execute the necessary documents after approval by the City
Attorney in the name of the city.
BE IT E'URTHER RESOLVED that the $200.00 paid on the option be
deducted from the $80,000.00 purchase price if the dredge is
purchased.
