APPROVING THE NAMING OF ISLAND IN LITTLE MUSKEG0
LAKE "JAYCEE ISLAND"
WHEREAS, Mr. Donald Axtmann, representing the Muskego Jaycees,
had appeared before the Common Council requesting that an
island in Little Muskego Lake be named "JAYCEE ISLAND" in
commemoration of that organization, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Axtmann has indicated that the members of the
Jaycees will expend $150.00 to beautify the island and will also
supply the necessary labor annually that will be helpful in the
elimination of further deterioration of the island, and .
WHEREAS, the efforts of this organization to help improve the
environment of our community are to be commended, and
WHEREAS, the Public Welfare Committee has recommended that
their request be granted and that the island be officially
named "JAYCEE ISLAND'!,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby declare that the island located just
south of Idle Isle and presently owned by the city shall be
named "JAYCEE ISLAND" in recognition of that organization's
efforts to help maintain the island for the enjoyment of future
generations.
