APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF LANDS FOR HIGHWAY
PURPOSES FROM CLARENCE BAAS
WHEREAS, it is the, intent of the Public Works Committee to reconstruct
a portion of Martin Drive in the vicinity of the former Nike Site in
the near future, and
WHEREAS, such construction will remove a dangerous curve in this
area, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clarence Baas has agreed to sell to the city the land
necessary for the reconstruction at a cost of $1,200.00 per acre,, and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee has recommended the acceptanc:e
of the offer,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common 'Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby accept the offer of Clarence Baas to sell to
the City the lands needed for the reconstruction of Martin Drive
at a cost of $1,200.00 per acre.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney is authorized to
prepare the necessary documents and the Mayor and Clerk are author-
ized to execute said document in the name of the City.
