AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO
ASPHALT CERTAIN STREETS IN SEWERED
AREAS OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee has been evaluating several
resurfacing programs the city has used during the past several
years, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a considerable amount of
money has been spent for patching and could be avoided if a
program of using asphalt were substituted for the present
sealcoating process, and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee wishes authorization from
the Council to proceed with a program of resurfacing streets
with asphalt,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby authorize the Public Works Committee
to develop and proceed with a program which would use asphalt
mats for resurfacing roads in those areas which have been
sewered or in areas which are not planned for sewers.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that most of this program shall be
paid for from the monies borrowed from the Marine National
Bank for road improvement.
