RESOLUTION REGARDING SALE OF LAND ON
PIONEER DRIVE
r) WHEREAS, the City is the owner of several acres of
land on the East side of old Racine Avenue (Pioneer Drive)
originally purchased as part of the Civic Center site; and
WHEREAS, it may be to the advantage of the City to
sel I the same.
BE IT RESOLVED that the matter of the sale of said
land be first referred to the Plan Commission for recommendation;
that upon receipt of the recommendation, the Common Council shall
then decide whether the land shall be sold; and if so, whether
the sale should be by sealed bids or private negotiation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if the Common Council
shall decide that the land shall be sold, that the proper City
officials be and hereby are authorized to prepare such documents
and notices,and to do other things necessary to effectuate the
sale of said property in accordance with the direction of the
Common Council.
