APPROVING THE RECOMMENB4TION OF THE COUNTY
RELATING To SPEED LIMITS ON RACINE AVENUE
WHEREAS the City of Muskego has received recommendations from
the County to establish certain speed limits on Racine Avenue,
and
WHEREAS the Muskego Police Department has evaluated the recommendations,
and
WHEREAS the Public Safety Committee has recommended that the Connnon
Council accept the recommendations of the County regarding these
speed limits,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby approve the following speed limits for Racine
Avenue as proposed by the Waukesha County Highway Department:
50 mph from the City of Muskego's north limits to a point
just north of the Hi-Y Ranches Subdivision thereof
40 mph from a point just north of the Hi-Y Ranches Subdivision
south to the junction of C.T.H. "Ytt and S.T.H. 24 thereof
C.T.H. "Yll shall not be posted.from the junction of C.T.H. "Y'l
and S.T.H. 24 to the junction of C.T.H. "Y" and Pioneer Drive.
?he non-posting recognizes the statutory limit of 65/55 on a
County Truck.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be
forwarded to the Waukesha County Highway Commission upon its
adoption. /I
