CCR1970042RESOLUTION 1142-70 ACCEPTANCE OF LOW BID FROM HOLZ MOTORS FOR FOUR NEW POLICE VEHICLES * WHEREAS, Resolution #9-70, adopted by the Common Council of the City of Muskego on January 13, 1970, authorized the Chief of Police to advertise for bids for four new Police Department vehicles, and WHEREAS, the following two bids were received: Holz Motors - Chevrolet Total Bid Price of Four Vehicles $ Less TrackIn Allowance for Four 1969 Vehicles Net Cost for Four (4) Vehicles $ Additional Requirements Needed to meet Pontiac specifications 390 Horsepower Engine @ $54.60 each 2 Spotlights @ $32.00 each Total $ 10,842.56 5,200.00 5,642.56 218.40 64.00 5,924.96 E. J. Salentine - Pontiac Total Bid Price of Four Vehicles $ 12,472.52 Less Trade In Allowance for Four 1969 Vehicles 4,700.00 Net Cost for Four 1970 Vehicles $ 7,772.52 and, WHEREAS, it has been recommended by the Police Department and the Finance Committee that the low bid of Holz Motors in the amount of $5,924.96 which includes the cost of 390 Horsepower engines in each vehicle and the cost of two spotlights (re- quired by law for marked squads) be accepted, a THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of Muskego does hereby accept the low bid of Holz Motoris for four new 1970 Model Police Dept. vehicles for an amount not to exceed $5,924.96.
