CCR1969146RESOLUTION 11146-69 (As Amended) ESTABLISHING WAGES AND FRINGE BENEFITS FOR PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEES FOR YEAR 1970 -. BE IT RESOLVED that all employees of the Public Works Department of the City of Muskego shall receive the following wages and fringe benefits for the year 1970: ri (a) Salaries Highway Superintendent $10,885.00 Highway Superintendent Mileage 300.00 Foreman $4.02 per hr. Equipment Operators 3.75 New Employees With Experience 3.58 Without Experience 3.42 (b) Overtime Pay. Highway Department employees shall be paid time and one half for all overtime work beyond the regular work week or work day excepting Sundays and holidays. For work performed on a Sunday or holiday, double time shall be paid. The regular work day shall be 9 hours per day from April 1 thru September 30, inclusive, and 8 hours per day from October 1 thru March 31, inclusive. The work day shall begin at 7~:OO A.M. To qualify for overtime an employee shall first have fulfilled the regular work day requirement or work week requirement as herein specified. (c) Vacations. 1 week after one year 2 weeks after two years and up until five years service starting the sixth year one additional day vacation will be earned per year. (d) Sick Leave. Sick leave shall be paid from first day and accumulative to no more than 120 days. (e) Death in Family. All full time employees shall 1 receive two days off with pay upon the death of a spouse, child, brother, sister, parent or mother or father-in-law. (f) Jury Duty. In case an employee is called for jury duty, the City will pay the employee the difference between jury duty pay and that pay normally paid by the City. (9) Insurance Benefits. Blue Shield insurance to be paid by the City 100 per cent. The City will pay for the cost of $8,000.00 group life insurance. Each full-time employee will be provided with a variable annunity retirement plan in accordance with agreement between Lincoln National Life Insurance Company and the City of Muskego. (h) Call in Time. In case an employee is called out for duty he shall be paid for a minimum of two hours work. v I Page 2 (i) Work Week. An employee shall put in work week of 45 hours from April 1 to September 30, inclusive, and a work week of 40 hours from October 1 to March 31, inclusive. (j) Work Day. All highway employees shall work 9 hours per day except Saturday and Sunday from April 1 to September 30, inclusive, and 8 hours per day except Saturday and Sunday from October 1 to March 31, inclusive. (k) Holidays. Paid holidays shall be: New Years Day, Good Friday afternoon, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve afternoon, Christmas Day and the day after Thanksgiving. FINANCE COMMITTEE w A2 % Harold DeBack ATTEST: /& /& City Clerk , RESOLUTION 100-69 AUTHORIZING THE GRADING, GRAVELING AND BLACKTOPPING OF BAY LANE FROM HIGHWAY 24 TO SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPERTY BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Sec. 62.15(1) Wis. Statutes, the Common Council of the City of Muskego does hereby authorize that the City undertake the following public construc- tion without submitting the same for bids: The grading, gravel.- ing, blacktopping and other miscellaneous work connected there- with at the certain highway known as Bay Lane and its inter- section with Janesville Road to the intersection of Hilltop Dr. and the approximate location of the.Muskego-Norway School District property. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Public Works shall keep an accurate account of the cost thereof including the necessary overhead expense. Upon completion of such work said Board shall make a complete report to the Council stating in detail the items of cost and the total cost of doing such work.
