RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXERCISE OF
OPTION FOR PURCHASE OF IDLE ISLE BEACH
WHEREAS, the City is the holder of an exclusive option
Mary Killa for the purchase of Idle Isle Beach for the sum of
Forty-eight Thousand ($48,000.00) Dollars, and must exercise said
option prior to the 31st day of December, 1969; and
WHEREAS, application for a grant for federal assistance
in the acquisition of said land is on file with the Department of
Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, said application has been acknowledged; and
WHEREAS, the City haslazvlsed that present appl ications for b en
open space grant assistance exceed available funds; and
WHEREAS, the federal government has by letter authorized
the City to proceed with acquisition of the land known as Idle
Isle Beach prior to approval of said application without jeopardiz
approval of sa id app I icat ion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City exercise
the Mary Killa option, and that the City Clerk be authorized to
notify the owner by notice in writing delivered personally to
the said Mary Killa or by mailing a notice of exercise of said
option by registered mail to her last known post office address.
