AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE COMMITTEE TO
NEGOTIATE FOR LEASE WITH CHURCH
w WHEREAS all municipal departments of the City of Muskego are in
dire need of more working space, and
WHEREAS the present City Hall has been twice condemned, and
WHEREAS the City Engineer and Building and Plumbing Inspector are
now housed in temporary quarters, and
WHEREAS the Architectural Firm of Gazinski - Schulze - Zemanovic
have indicated that it will be at least two years before a new
civic center will be built and ready for occupancy, and
WHEREAS the City of Muskego has received an offer from the Muskego
United Church of Christ located at W182 S8470 Racine Avenue to
temporarily lease their facilities as a temporary site for municipal
services,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby authorize the Finance Committee to further
negotiate with Rev. Roy F. Alberswerth of the SE Wisconsin
Association of the Wis. Conference, United Church of Christ in
an effort to complete possible lease arrangements needed to
house municipal offices.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Committee report their
findings back to the Common Council at their meeting of July 22,
1969, at which time said lease will be considered by the governing
body.
