AUTHORIZING THE EXERCISE OF OPTION TO
PURCHASE PROPERTY FOR CIVIC CENTER SITE
WHEREAS, on October 17, 1968, an option to purchase certain lands
in the City of Muskego was given to the City by Marcella Larsen,
Leona M. Dorband and W. J. Godsell, Executor, and said option
expires on December 17, 1968, and
WHEREAS, said option is for the purchase of 33 acres of land more
or less, and a home and four buildings located thereon, the use of
which is subject to the terms of said option, and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission and the Finance Committee have
recommended the purchase of said lands and the exercise of said
option,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,
<e
(1) That the purchase of said lands is for the public benefit
of the City of Muskego.
(2) That said lands shall be purchased by the City for use as
a Civic Center Site or for any other municipal purpose.
(3) The City does hereby exercise said option according to
its terms.
(4) The City Clerk shall notify W. J. Godsell, 5859 S. 108th St.,
Hales Corners, Wisconsin, by registered mail, that the City
has exercised said option and shall transmit with said notice
a copy of this resolution together with a check in the amount
of $2,250.00 made payable to W. J. Godsell, Executor.
(5) That the Clerk, at the closing of the transaction, shall
issue a check for the balance of the purchase price de-
termined at that time to be due. All payments to be made
from the City Reserve Acct. 11244.
(6) That the City Attorney, Mayor, City Clerk and Treasurer are
authorized to complete said transaction on behalf of the
City .
