RESOLUTION NO. 178-688
(AS AMENDED)
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPAYMENT OF
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS IN FULL IN DISTRICT
NO. 1 WITHOUT INTEREST
WHEREAS, by Resolution #121-68 the Common Council provided
that the special assessments levied in District No. 1 for the con-
struction of sanitary sewer collection mains and sewer service pipes
should be paid in ten (10) equal installments together with interest
from September 1, 1968; and
WHEREAS, said resolution also provided as follows;
I1 In all cases where the owners of property against whom
assessments shall be made shall file with the City Clerk
within thirty (30) days from the date of the aforesaid
notice a written notice that they elected to pay the special
assessments upon their property on or before November 1,
1968, special assessments payable in installments shall not
be made against said property of such owners and such owners
shall pay the entire assessment in full."
"After the time for making such election shall have expired,
such assessment shall be due and payable in installments as
aforesaid, but any assessment may be paid in full before
due only upon the payment of interest to date of prepayment
upon such assessment, plus one year's interest on the then
unpaid principal amount of such assessment. 11
WHEREAS, the time for making the election referred to has
expired, but various persons now wish to make payment of said special
assessments in full.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
(a) Those persons who shall pay their assessments in full
prior to November 1, 1968, shall be charged no interest
thereon.
BE IT ETJRTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk shall send a notice
to all persons in the district of this resolution.
