AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF LAND
(PRESTON-COLLEGE AVENUE)
WHEREAS, the City is presently acquiring lands or inter-
ests in land for the widening of College Avenue in the City of
Muskego; and
WHEREAS, the City is authorized to purchase or condemn
lands necessary for the widening of streets, and to assess benefits
for any street improvements against adjoining property owners; and
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated with Mary S. Preston
for the purchase of real estate hereinafter described, and it
appears from the report of the Mayor that it is in the best inter-

ests of- the City to acquire sa id I and by negotiation and agreement;
WHEREAS, it is necessary that said lands be acquired for
the purpose of widening College Avenue within the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City acquire
the Mary S. Preston property as per the agreement to purchase
herein attached. The real estate affected by this resolution
i s described on Exh i bi t "A".
