AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE TO
PURCHASE A NEW HEAVY DUTY TRUCK
WHEREAS the Common Council had authorized the Public Works Committee
to advertise for bids for a new 4-wheel drive heavy duty highway
4 truck, and - WHEREAS the following bids have been received:
International Harvester Co. (With Trade-in) $19,950.00
Four Wheel Drive Co. (With Trade-in) 20,720.00
Oshkosh Motors (Without Trade-in) 21,024.90
and
WHEREAS it would be in the best interest of the City to permit the
Public Works Committee to determine the best truck to buy for the City
without waiting for final approval from the Common Council,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, acting as the Board of Public Works, does hereby grant to
the Public Works Committee the power to choose the truck they feel
will be most beneficial to the City.
BE IT F'URTHER RESOLVED that the Public Works Committee is hereby
granted the power to make their decision without additional action
from the Common Council and to order the truck of their choice.
