HIRING OF EXPERIENCED PATROLMEN
WHEREAS, Ordinance #68 Amending Salary Ordinance 1/55 has been
ado; ted, and
WHEREAS, Police Chief Kraus has requested consideration be given
to the proposal of hiring patrolmen at step #4 at a salary of
$7,550.00 per year if they have completed at least three years
experience on a municipal police force and three months school-
ing at a basic police training school, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee feels it would be in the best
interest of the City to hire fully trained personnel.as possible
and recommends the Common Council grants this request,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council does hereby
grant permission to the Police Chief to hire at step #4 salary
of $7,550.00 per year qualifying applicants for the position of
patrolman having at least three years experience on a municipal
police department and has had three months schooling at a basic
police training school.
