URGING THE RECONSTRUCTION AND REALIGNMENT
OF C.T.H. (COLLEGE AVE.) WESTERLY FROM
C.T.H. HI TO C.T.H. "Y" (RACINE AVE.)
0 WHEREAS, plans for the reconstruction of Racine Avenue are well
under way and acquisition of land will probably begin in the
fall of 1967, and a
WHEREAS, a new section of College Avenue will be created from
present C.T.H. "Y" to the relocated Highway "Y" , and
WHEREAS, existing College Avenue, from its intersection with "HI"
westerly to its intersection with Racine Avenue, is in dire need.
of repair, realignment and regrading, and
WHEREAS, the condition of College Avenue is a hazard to the
residents of Waukesha County who find it necessary to use the
road, and
WHEREAS, Waukesha County, with the aid of the State Highway
Commission. have deemed it advisable to consider an imarovement
0 program for College Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee has recommended that the
Common Council give full support to such a proposal,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby urge that the Waukesha County Highway
Commission and the State of Wisconsin Highway Commission give
imediate consideration to the upgrading of College Avenue to
make it safer for vehicular traffic from its intersection with
C.T.H. "HI" westerly to C.T.H. "Y" (Racine Ave.)
