AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO A.DVERTISE
FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SEWERAGE LAGOONS
WHEREAS, the Department of Resource Development of the State of
Wisconsin has given final approval to the proposed sewage plant
to be located on the Walter Vesbach property along the north shore
of Big Muskego Lake in Section 16, and
WHEREAS it is desirable that construction on the proposed stabilization
lagoons be started as quickly as possible in order that sewage treatment
to the residents on Racine Avenue and the Muskego High School can be
accomplished as quickly as possible, and
WHEREAS the Municipal Sewer Committee of the Common Council has
recommended that authorization be acquired from the Council in order
that the City Engineer can advertise for bids on the project subject
to the approval of the State Department of Health, Education and
Welfare,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED ‘that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby authorize-the City Engineers to advertise for
bids for the construction of the sewage lagoons, the pumping station
and the interceptor from Woods Road south to the sewer lagoons.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the advertising for bids will take
place after approval of the City of Muskego’s application for federal
aid in the construction of the sewer lagoons and the pumping station.
