RESOLUTION #092-2011
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A HAZARD MITIGATION
GRANT APPLICATION AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR ACQUISITION &
DEMOLITION OF S76 W18109 JANESVILLE ROAD
WHEREAS the City of Muskego has, in the past, been approached by the property
owners of S76 W18109 Janesville Road regarding the repeated flooding of their home,
which is located within the 100 year floodplain; and,
WHEREAS a state grant opportunity has arisen that may allow for the purchase and
demolition of the home; and,
WHEREAS the City is qualified, willing and able to carry out all activities described in
the state grant application including contributing a 12.5% local share of the project
funding; and,
BE IT RESOLVED That the City of Muskego requests the funds and assistance
available from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources under the Hazard
Mitigation Grant Program and will comply with State rules for the program and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer are authorized to sign
the appropriate documentation in the name of the City.
