TENTATIVE AGREEMENT
1. Duration: January 1, 2011 – December 31, 2011
2. Article IV – Retirement Program
Notwithstanding the provisions of this Agreement, the parties agree that in the event state
law is amended to provide for mandated employee payment of the employee’s share of
the WRS pension contribution, that Unit employees will, in the same manner, and at the
same amount, begin making said contributions.
3. Article V – Wages and Benefits
a. No change from 2010 (freeze)
b. The Union requested a number of reclassifications during the courage of
bargaining. To resolve these, the parties agreed to the following process, to be
completed by July 15, 2011:
Each of the requested reclassifications will be discussed with the
department head(s) involved.
Following this discussion, the department head(s) will review the matter
with the Mayor.
The Mayor will present the requests to the Common Council. The
employee(s) involved will have the opportunity to present evidence in
support of their request to the Mayor and the Council.
The Common Council, along with the Mayor, in her proper role, will be
the sole decision maker of all of the reclassification requests.
4. Article VII – Workday and Workweek
7.05 – Rest Breaks
Subject to mutual agreement by the parties, employees may merge their two fifteen
minute breaks with their lunch break.
5. Article IX – Holidays
9.05 – Delete
6. Article XXV – Tuition Reimbursement
Delete
7. Article XXIX – Termination or Amendment of Agreement
Amend dates to reflect agreed upon duration.
