COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #080-2011
AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF CHANGE TO HEALTH INSURANCE CONTRACT
FOR JULY 1, 2011 – JUNE 30, 2012
WHEREAS, In December of 2010, the Common Council approved a health care
contract with WPS for the period January 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012 in an effort to
continue to reduce costs; and
WHEREAS, The City was aware that the rates would increase effective July 1, 2011;
and
WHEREAS, In addition, the City has determined that it is no longer necessary to
provide the HEOS Plus Plan as an option; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the rate increase of 4.08% as well
as the change to eliminate the HEOS Plus Plan for the remainder of the contract and
has recommended approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby authorize
the Mayor and Clerk to execute the contract for health insurance for July 1, 2011 –
June 30, 2012 as follows:
WPS HEALTH INSURANCE
Type of Contract Statewide
Single Member $ 629.39 (Monthly)
Limited Family $1,322.62 (Monthly)
Family $1,879.45 (Monthly)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That this change has no impact on the existing health
care benefits.
