RESOLUTION #061-2011
RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT THE INTENT TO AMEND THE
1999 AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF MUSKEGO AND TESS CORNERS VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT
REGARDING THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
WHEREAS, The Public Safety Committee and Committee of the Whole have discussed
the possibility of amending the 1999 Agreement between the City of Muskego and the
Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, The amendment would involve removing any reference to the “Scholarship
Fund” from the agreement and direct the City Attorney to draft a new agreement; and
WHEREAS, It is proposed that the funds from the “Scholarship Fund” would be given to
the Fire Department to establish a Length of Service Award Program; and
WHEREAS, It is the City’s understanding that this program would be administered by
the Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby support the intent to amend the 1999 Agreement between the
City of Muskego and Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department for the reason stated
above.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor will direct the City Attorney to take the
necessary action to accomplish this.
