COMMON COUNCIL – CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #049-2011
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO JOHN R. JOHNSON
WHEREAS, JOHN R. JOHNSON has served the City of Muskego since 1970 when he
began his career with the Muskego Police Department as a patrol officer, and
WHEREAS, JOHN was promoted to various positions within the Police Department
during his 36 years of employment; and
WHEREAS, In 1985, JOHN was appointed to the position of Chief of Police; and
WHEREAS, JOHN held that position until his retirement in October of 2006 when he
decided to continue his service to the City by running for the office of Mayor; and
WHEREAS, JOHN R. JOHNSON was elected to the office of Mayor in November of
2006 and served the City of Muskego with dedication and commitment since that time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby acknowledge JOHN R. JOHNSON for his years of service as a
dedicated community leader, and wishes him well in all of his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a copy of this resolution with the City seal affixed
shall be presented to JOHN, and this resolution shall become a part of the proceedings
of the Common Council of the City of Muskego.
