RESOLUTION #155-2008
RESOLUTION TO ADOPT A REVISED
“HARASSMENT AND DISCRIMINATION IN THE WORKPLACE” POLICY
WHEREAS, On February 14, 2006, the Common Council of the City of Muskego
adopted a “Code of Conduct and Discipline” Policy; and
WHEREAS, The existing code adopted in 2006 includes a section entitled,
“Harassment in the Workplace Policy;” and
WHEREAS, The City’s insurance carrier, CVMIC, has recommended that the existing
“Harassment in the Workplace Policy” be updated; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the attached “Harassment and
Discrimination in the Workplace” Policy and has recommended approval.
WHEREAS, With the adoption of the new policy, the existing “Code of Conduct and
Discipline” will be amended to delete the section regarding harassment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby adopt the
attached “Harassment and Discrimination in the Workplace.”
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the “Code of Conduct and Discipline” will be
amended to delete the section regarding harassment.
