RESOLUTION #107-2008
AWARD OF BID
Moorland Road Improvements
WHEREAS, The City advertised for bids for the Moorland Road Improvements and the
following bids were received:
Contractor Base Bid
Capitol Pavers, Inc. $2,512,715.98
Milwaukee General Construction Co., Inc. $2,823,284.89
DF Tomasini Contractors, Inc. $2,592,538.84
La Londe Contractors, Inc. $2,922,026.16
WHEREAS, The City Engineer, RA Smith National, has reviewed the bids and recommends
the bid submitted by Capitol Pavers, Inc. in the amount of $2,512,715.98 be accepted for the
Moorland Road Improvements; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the bids and recommend the bid submitted
by Capitol Pavers, Inc. be accepted contingent on Waukesha County, WDNR, and the
Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District approval of the sanitary sewer, waterman, erosion
control, and right-of-way access permits acceptable to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego,
upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby accept the bid of Capitol
Pavers, Inc. in the total amount of $2,512,715.98 for the Moorland Road Improvements
contingent on Waukesha County, WDNR, and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District
approval of the sanitary sewer, waterman, erosion control, and right-of-way access permits
acceptable to the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer are hereby authorized to
sign the necessary documents in the name of the City after the contingency referred to above
is removed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor or his designee are authorized to sign any
changes at his discretion upon recommendation of the RA Smith National.
