RESOLUTION #067-2008
APPROVAL OF REQUEST BY
TESS CORNERS VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT
TO PURCHASE QUINT/AERIAL FIRE TRUCK
WHEREAS, The Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department has submitted a request to
purchase a Quint/Aerial Fire Truck; and
WHEREAS, Funding for the purchase is available in the 2008 Capital Budget; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the proposed purchase and has
recommended approval; and
WHEREAS, This purchase is being approved pursuant to the formal “Agreement Between
the City of Muskego and the Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Company,” dated March 10,
1999, most specifically at Section 6 Subsection (b) concerning ultimate disposition of
vehicle (asset) ownership in that said vehicle will be relinquished by the Department to the
City at no cost to the City in the event the City terminates its relationship with the
Department for any reason.
WHEREAS, Payment for the truck purchased by the Tess Corners Volunteer Fire
Department will be based on the actual cost as supported by invoices submitted to the City
for a total amount not to exceed $635,000 and the total amount due shall be paid with
100% City funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve the
purchase of the Quint/Aerial Fire Truck based on the actual cost as supported by invoices
submitted by the Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department for a total amount not to exceed
$635,000.
