RESOLUTION #047-2008
APPROVAL OF REQUEST BY
TESS CORNERS VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT
TO PURCHASE PHOENIX SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE FOR
FIRE AND RESCUE VEHICLES
WHEREAS, The Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department has submitted a request to
purchase Phoenix software and hardware from Key Power International, Inc. (KPI) for fire and
rescue vehicles at a total cost of $186,618 with $19,525 of that amount identified as the City’s
portion of the project; and
WHEREAS, Key Power International, Inc. submitted a proposal to the City for application
software, installation and project management at a total cost of $19,525; and
WHEREAS, $185,000 was included in the 2008 Capital Budget for the total cost of the project;
and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the proposed purchase and has
recommended approval of the expenditure; and
WHEREAS, Payment for the software and hardware purchased by the Tess Corners Volunteer
Fire Department will be based on the actual costs as supported by invoices submitted to the
City with the total not to exceed $167,093.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego,
upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve the purchase of
software and hardware from Key Power International, Inc. based on the actual costs as
supported by invoices submitted by the Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department not to exceed
the total project cost of $167,093.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor is authorized to accept the proposal submitted
by KPI for the City’s portion of the project in the amount of $19,525.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the additional $1,618 for the project in excess of the
budgeted $185,000 will be taken from the 2008 Capital Fund for Fire Department Equipment.
