COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #019-2008
RECOGNITION OF FUNDRAISING EFFORTS
OF JENNY GIERA
WHEREAS, JENNY GIERA, resident of the City of Muskego and a student at
Lake Denoon Middle School raised money to purchase two automated
external defibrillators (AEDs) for the Muskego-Norway School District; and
WHEREAS, JENNY achieved her goal by contacting local businesses for
donations, working concession stands during athletic events, and applying
for grants online to help pay for the devices; and
WHEREAS, because of JENNY’S commitment to this project, an automated
external defibrillator is now installed at Lake Denoon Middle School and
Bay Lane Middle School; and
WHEREAS, this project may save lives and has provided awareness for the
importance of CPR and the need for automated external defibrillators.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby commend JENNY GIERA for her fundraising
efforts and her commitment to improve the community of Muskego.
