RESOLUTION #018-2008
RECOGNITION OF 30 YEARS OF SERVICE
HOLLY SANHUBER– MUSKEGO PUBLIC LIBRARY
WHEREAS, Holly Sanhuber began her employment with the City of Muskego on January 16, 1978 as the
Children’s Librarian; and
WHEREAS, Holly was appointed Assistant Director, and served in that capacity from 1979 to 1982; and
WHEREAS, on April 1, 1980 Holly was appointed Acting Director, and was again appointed Acting Director on
January 1, 1982 by the Muskego Public Library Board; and
WHEREAS, Holly was appointed Director of the Muskego Public Library on May 1, 1982; and
WHEREAS, Holly earned a second Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of
Education, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, and
WHEREAS, Holly continues to pursue educational opportunities to enhance her job and performance skills by
retaining Wisconsin Grade 1 Certification status, and
WHEREAS Holly has served as book reviewer, storyteller, substitute teacher in the area of curriculum and
instruction at UW-Milwaukee, as well as teaching children’s literature courses to education and library science
students there, and teaching a children’s literature correspondence course for the UW-Extension, for which she
wrote the textbook, and
WHEREAS, Holly successfully guided completion of the Muskego Public Library facility in 2000; and worked
toward automation of many library functions, integrating the computer into support areas such as ordering of
materials and financial reporting, and
WHEREAS, Holly is a member of the Friends of the Muskego Public Library and the Muskego Woman’s Club,
in addition to volunteering her services to the community in many other areas; and
WHEREAS, the City appreciates the efforts of employees such as Holly Sanhuber who have pride in serving
the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego does hereby
recognize HOLLY SANHUBER for her knowledge, dedication and service, which span thirty years.
