COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #008-2008
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ONE-MONTH EXTENSION
FOR THE CITY’S INSURANCE THROUGH THE
LEAGUE OF WISCONSIN MUNICIPALITIES
WHEREAS, Insurance coverage for 2007 was approved with the adoption of
Resolution #228-2006; and
WHEREAS, City officials are still in the process of researching 2008 coverage for
liability and workers’ compensation insurance; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Administrator have recommended that existing
insurance coverage purchased through the League of Wisconsin Municipalities for
liability and worker’s compensation be extended through January 31, 2008 at an
estimated cost of $26,800; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has recommended approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve
extending the City’s existing coverage for liability and workers’ compensation insurance
through the League of Wisconsin Municipalities until January 31, 2008 at an estimated
cost of $26,800.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor and City Administrator are authorized to
sign the necessary documentation in the name of the City to extend the existing
coverage.
