PCR2007112 PCR2007112_filelist.xml RESOLUTION #P.C. 112-2007 Print BestFit RESOLUTION #P.C. 112-2007 APPROVAL OF WALL SIGNAGE FOR THE MUSKEGO GATEWAY ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX LOCATED IN THE SE ¼ OF SECTION 5 (S67 W19491 TANS DRIVE  / TAX KEY NO. 2180.994.001)   WHEREAS, On November 2, 2007 plans were submitted by Sam Diamantopoulos for wall signage for the Muskego Gateway Entertainment Complex located in the SW ¼ of Section 5 (S67 W19491 Tans Drive / Tax Key No. 2180.994.001), and   WHEREAS, There are two (2) previously approved internally illuminated box wall signs (each one measuring 69 square feet) existing on the western elevation of the building, and   WHEREAS, Four (4) additional painted signs (totaling 115.5 square feet) were placed on the building within the past few months without first getting sign permits, and   WHEREAS, After a sign permit was submitted and reviewed for the new signs, it was discovered that the total allowed square footage for that elevation was now being exceeded, and   WHEREAS, The property owner is now proposing a solution to correct the square foot overage which includes leaving the painted signs in place on the western elevation and relocating the box signs to the north and south elevations (one on each side elevation), and   WHEREAS, The property allows 5% of each building elevation to be utilized for wall signage, and   WHEREAS, The western elevation is allowed to have 178.8 square feet of signage and the painted letters consume 115.5 square feet, which is within the code limits, and   WHEREAS, The northern and southern elevations are each allowed to have 144.2 square feet of signage and each box sign consumes 69 square feet, which is within the code limits, and   WHEREAS, The property is zoned B-2 Local Service Center District and said wall signage conforms with the requirements of Section 16 of the Zoning Ordinance, and   WHEREAS, Plan Commission approval is being sought due to the unique nature of the signage.   THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves the requested sign changes for the Muskego Gateway Entertainment Complex, located at S67 W19491 Tans Drive (Tax Key No. 2180.994.001).   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That once the box signs are relocated, the area under the old signs must be painted to match the colors of the building/block surrounding that area.   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That any additional signage or lighting will require Plan Department and/or Plan Commission approval.   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both.   Plan Commission City of Muskego   Adopted:    November 20, 2007 Defeated:          Deferred:           Introduced: November 20, 2007 ATTEST:  Kellie Renk, Recording Secretary
