APPROVAL OF A BUILDING SITE AND OPERATION PLAN AMENDMENT FOR A BACK-UP GENERATOR FOR VERIZON WIRELESS LOCATED IN THE NE ¼ OF SECTION 2

WHEREAS, On October 25, 2007 a Building Site and Operation Plan amendment was submitted by Velocitel, Inc. for Verizon Wireless for the placement of a back-up generator at an existing
telecommunications site located in the NE ¼ of Section 2, and
WHEREAS, The petitioner is requesting to place a back-up generator within an existing fenced area near an existing Verizon equipment shelter and tower on the Laidlaw Bus Company property,
and
WHEREAS, Said property is currently zoned M-2, General Industrial District, and the existing tower and equipment shelter have been previously approved by the Plan Commission, and
WHEREAS, The submittal includes notes that any fence slatting that is missing or in need of repair will be taken care of by the petitioner, and
WHEREAS, The location of the proposed back-up generator is located over 150 feet away from Tess Corners Drive and over 220 feet away from College Avenue, and
WHEREAS, The back-up generator would only be used in emergency situations and for testing done once a week or less.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of a Building, Site and Operation Plan amendment submitted by Velocitel, Inc. for Verizon Wireless for the placement of
a back-up generator at an existing telecommunications site located in the NE ¼ of Section 2.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That buildings permits are still required before the unit can be installed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That any fence slatting that is missing or in need of repair will need to be taken care by the petitioner.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and that all aspects of this plan shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized
by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action,
or both.
