APPROVAL OF AN ADDITIONAL ACCESSORY STRUCTURE FOR THE WHITEHOUSE PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE NW ¼ OF SECTION 7
(TAX KEY NO. 2186.991 / W219 S7368 CROWBAR RD)
WHEREAS, On October 3, 2007 a site plan and building drawings were submitted to construct a 192 square foot accessory structure (12’ x 16’) on the property located at W219 S7368 Crowbar
Rd, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned A-1 Agricultural District, and whereas said structure is a permitted accessory use and subject to Plan Commission review due to more than one accessory
structure on the lot as per design guidelines for residential uses, and
WHEREAS, Four (4) accessory structures (totaling 3,464 square feet) and a home residence currently reside on the property, and
WHEREAS, The total square footage for accessory structures on this property is limited to 11,918 square feet, and said proposal meets the bulk requirements of the Zoning Code, and
WHEREAS, The combined total of all of the accessory structures will be 3,656 square feet, which is within the allowed limit, and
WHEREAS, The structure is proposed to be constructed with hardiplank siding and a dimensional shingle roof and said proposal does meet the Plan Commission’s standards for administrative
approval of residential accessory structures as the siding and roof materials are of a residential quality and the colors of the building will match the colors of the existing house
on the property, and
WHEREAS, The proposed height is shown to be about 10 feet, as measured by code.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves a 192 square foot accessory structure submitted by Ken Whitehouse for a property located at W219 S7368 Crowbar Dr.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the proposed height of the building cannot exceed 15 feet in height, as measured by code requirements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the terms of this resolution and the approved site plans shall result in the issuance of fines of $100 per day per violation, the
initiation of legal action, or both.
