PCR2007025 ./PCR2007025_files/filelist.xml RESOLUTION #P.C. 037-2006 Print 104 6 pt 6 pt 0 AMENDED RESOLUTION P.C. 025-2007 APPROVAL OF AN AMENDED BUILDING, SITE, AND OPERATION PLAN FOR GEORGE ALEX AND ROBERT JACOB LOCATED IN THE NE ¼ OF SECTION 25 (TAX KEY NO. 2257.973.001)   WHEREAS, An amendment to the approved Building, Site, and Operation Plans for the George Alex and Robert Jacob property was submitted on January 29, 2007  (Tax Key No. 2257.973.001), and   WHEREAS, The parcel contains a Conditional Use Grant and Building, Site and Operation plan that was adopted by the Plan Commission for one mini-storage warehouse building with office space and for a building with mini-storage warehouses and an auto repair business for the property located on Loomis Court and on North Cape Road (USH 45) for George Alex, most recently under Resolutions #P.C. 053a-2003, #P.C. 067-2004, and #P.C. 050-2005, and   WHEREAS, The petitioners now request the following amendments to the previously approved operations:   ·    Add four 10’ x 20’ parking stalls and two 10’ x 16’ parking stalls along the west portion of the northernmost building fronting Hwy 45.  The stalls are to be used for Dad’s Auto due to increased business, ·    Add three parking spaces solely for U-Haul trucks along the rear east portion of the northern most building, ·    Add a 10’ x 26’ U-Haul truck parking stall along the south half of the entrance road off of Hwy 45, ·    Add a 10’ x 24’ U-Haul truck parking stall 15 feet north of the utility building along the southernmost building site, ·    Allow one of the existing parking stalls in front of the office of the southernmost building to be reserved for overnight parking of a U-Haul truck as needed.  A sign stating this reservation would also be part of the request, ·    Add a 4’ x 6’ sign along the south façade of the southernmost building advertising U-Haul services.   THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of a Building, Site, and Operation Plan amendment for the George Alex and Robert Jacob property subject to the contingencies below:   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, The proposed two 10’ x 16’ parking stalls is not approved by this resolution as Planning Commission finds that the stalls will not allow much for thru access.   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, No pavement markings are present for the parking stalls in the area along the southeast corner of Hwy 45 and Loomis Court.  The parking stalls throughout this corner must be marked within one month of this resolution.   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, The proposed 10’ x 26’ U-Haul truck parking stall is not approved by this resolution as Planning Commission has wanted to keep commercial vehicles out of the public view or at least contained from the public view when possible.  Further, the vehicle appears to be closer than 10 feet from the right-of-way, which violates City ordinance.   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, The proposed 10’ x 24’ U-Haul truck parking stall is not approved by this resolution as Planning Commission has wanted to keep commercial vehicles out of the public view or at least contained from the public view when possible.  Further, the vehicle location could hamper the sites other users of mini-storage and restrict certain vehicles from easily navigating around the structure.   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a truck parked in the proposed overnight reserved parking stall may only be allowed from 8 PM to 8AM 10 AM so customers and employees can still use the stall during normal work hours.  Further, the signage for this stall should note these restrictions.   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Further sign details for the proposed southern façade sign noting materials and message must be delivered to the Planning Department before installation can occur and the sign must be of a permanent nature.   BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, All aspects of previous approvals for this site are all still in affect.     Plan Commission City of Muskego Adopted:            March 6, 2007 Defeated:        Deferred:         Introduced:            March 6, 2007 ATTEST:            Kellie Renk, Recording Secretary
