RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF TAX INCREMENTAL DISTRICT GUIDELINES FOR THE CITY OF MUSKEGO
WHEREAS, In 2006, the Community Development Authority directed staff to develop a set of Tax Incremental District (TID) Guidelines that the City can adopt to better direct future developers
when requesting TID financing from the City, and
WHEREAS, The guidelines provide insight to developers of the City’s Objectives for use of a TID, the Costs that qualify for a TID, the basic and desired qualifications for a TID, how
a TID proposal will be evaluated, and the Application Process, and
WHEREAS, The guidelines should make it easier for both developers and City approving authorities to provide the best TIDs for the community while allowing the City to rely on some
concrete strategies when dealing with developers and TID financing, and
WHEREAS, The CDA reviewed, recommended changes, and adopted the document as changed at their October 17, 2006 meeting.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommends to the Common Council approval of the TID Guidelines for the City of Muskego.
