RECOMMENDATION TO COMMON COUNCIL FOR A REZONING FROM EA EXCLUSIVE AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT AND A AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO RS-1 SUBURBAN RESIDENCE LOCATED IN THE SW ¼ OF SECTION 26
(THODE DRIVE / TAX KEY NOS. 2263.998 & 2263.999)
WHEREAS, On July 18, 2006 a petition for a rezoning was submitted by MLG Development for properties located in the SW ¼ of Section 26, (Thode Drive / Tax Key Nos. 2263.998 & 2263.999),
and
WHEREAS, Said property is currently zoned EA Exclusive Agricultural, requiring a minimum lot size of 35 acres per lot and an average minimum width of 1275 feet per lot and A Agricultural,
requiring a minimum lot size of 120,000 square feet per lot and an average minimum width of 300 feet per lot and is requested to be rezoned to RS-1 Suburban Residence District to
permit land divisions with minimum lot sizes of 30,000 square feet per lot and average minimum widths of 120 feet, and
WHEREAS, The 2010 Comprehensive Plan depicts this area as being set aside for Agricultural and Open Space Uses and a 2010 Plan Amendment to Medium Density Residential Uses is requested
as part of the resolution, and
WHEREAS, Small Management Areas are shown in the Conservation Plan and the western portion of the development is shown in the Big Muskego Wildlife Project Area and will be looked at
by the Conservation Commission on Monday August 14, 2006, and
WHEREAS, Proposed future development as part of the rezoning is requested to be serviced by municipal sanitary sewer and public water, and
WHEREAS, A Public Hearing was held on August 8, 2006.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission recommends disapproval / approval to the Common Council for a rezoning from EA Exclusive Agricultural and A Agricultural to RS-1
Suburban Residence District and 2010 Plan Map amendments on the properties located in the SW ¼ of Section 26, (Thode Drive / Tax Key Nos. 2263.998 & 2263.999).
