APPROVAL OF THREE (3) WALL SIGNS FOR OLSON’S OUTDOOR POWER
LOCATED IN THE NE ¼ OF SECTION 2
(S63 W14323 COLLEGE AVENUE / TAX KEY NO. 2165.998.005)
WHEREAS, On February 20, 2006 plans were submitted by David Poblocki for three (3) wall signs for Olson’s Outdoor Power located at S63 W14323 College Avenue (Tax Key No. 2165.998.005),
and
WHEREAS, A 24 square foot internally illuminated wall sign is proposed for the northern (front) elevation of the building, and
WHEREAS, A 16 square foot internally illuminated wall sign and a 24 square foot internally illuminated wall sign are both proposed for the east (side) elevation of the building,
and
WHEREAS, There is an existing 24 square foot projecting wall sign on the northern (front) elevation, and
WHEREAS, The property allows 5% of each building elevation to be utilized for wall signage, and
WHEREAS, The northern (front) elevation has just over 510 square feet of elevation space allowing 25.5 square feet of wall signage and the eastern (side) elevation has just over
3,360 square feet of elevation space allowing 168 square feet of wall signage, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned I-1 Industrial Park District and said wall signage conforms with the requirements of Section 6.09 of the Zoning Ordinance and requires Plan Commission
approval prior to the issuance of a building and zoning permit.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves three (3) wall signs for Olson’s Outdoor Power, located at S63 W14323 College Avenue (Tax Key No. 2165.998.005).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sign plans are approved as submitted and a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and that all aspect of this plan shall be
maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action,
or both.
