APPROVAL OF LANDSCAPE PLAN FOR FOREST GLEN SUBDIVISION LOCATED IN THE NW 1/4 OF SECTION 10
WHEREAS, On October 3, 2005 a Landscape Plan was submitted by Bill Carity for the Forest Glen Subdivision located in the NW ¼ of Section 10, and
WHEREAS, The plan includes street trees and screening, and a diversity of species as recommended by the Conservation Coordinator / City Forester, and
WHEREAS, As a part of the land division ordinance, a developer must mitigate affected trees as part of a development at a rate of 1 to 1 and further mitigation may be necessary, and
WHEREAS, Planting sizes shall be a minimum of 1.5”– 2.5” caliper for trees, with a 7-foot minimum height, and species conform to those recommended by the Urban Forestry Strategic Plan.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of the landscape plan for the Forest Glen Subdivision located in the NW ¼ of Section 10.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and that all aspects of this plan as they relate to landscape areas and drainage shall
be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That further mitigation of trees will be necessary upon the development of the multi-family development bordering Forest Glen Subdivision to the east and said
mitigation numbers and need is under the sole discretion of the City Forester.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That if occupancy is requested prior to the completion of landscaping and/or asphalting, a bond, letter of credit or cashiers check equal to twice the value
of said costs must be submitted to the Planning Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action,
or both.
