RESOLUTION #002-2026
ADDENDUM TO CITY OF MUSKEGO INSPECTION SERVICES AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the current Agreement the City has with Wisconsin Building Inspections, LLP for
inspection services expired on December 31, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Building Inspectors, LLP has been providing inspecting services for the City
of Muskego since January of 2012; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council has authorized the Public Works and Development Director to
implement a Request for Proposal (RFP) for building inspection services at this time, in an effort to
shop the market and ensure that the City is hiring a company that will provide the best services at
a financial cost that is in the best interests of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to extend the contract with Wisconsin Building Inspections, LLP for
One Hundred Thirteen (113) days, which would then expire on April 23, 2026; this will provide the
necessary time required for the RFP to be released, proposal submitted, and award a new
contract; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has reviewed the attached Addendum to the City of Muskego
Contract Agreement for Inspection Services for the period January 1, 2026 through April 23, 2026
and has recommended approval to the Common Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego does
hereby approve Addendum to the City of Muskego Contract Agreement for Inspection Services for
the period January 1, 2026 through April 23, 2026.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to sign the Agreement
in the name of the City and the City Attorney is authorized to make substantive changes to the
Addendum as may be necessary in order to preserve the general intent thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to sign such substantive changes made
by the City Attorney; that the Public Works & Development Director is authorized to enter into an
Agreement for building inspection services upon the certification of this resolution by the City Clerk.
