APPROVAL OF A BUILDING, SITE AND OPERATION PLAN AMENDMENT FOR
TIPSY TURTLE IN THE NW'/4 OF SECTION 24
(S90 W13970 BOXHORN DRIVE / TAX KEY NO. 2254.998.002)
WHEREAS, A submittal was received for a Building, Site and Operation (BSO) Plan amendment
for the Tipsy Turtle located at S90 W13970 Boxhorn Drive / Tax Key No. 2254.998.002, and
WHEREAS, The petitioner is proposing to add overhead doors to the western side of the building
to connect the indoor space with the outdoor seating area, and
WHEREAS, Last year the owners of Tipsy Turtle obtained Plan Commission approval to add an
outdoor seating area along the west side of the building consisting of a raised concrete patio with
pillars and a fence through Resolution PC 034-2024, and
WHEREAS, Tipsy Turtle has also recently submitted building permit plans to modify the interior of
the building including moving the bar and expanding the restrooms, and
WHEREAS, The proposal is to replace the two large windows with two glass panel overhead
doors to connect the indoor and outdoor spaces, and
WHEREAS, There are no additional exterior changes to the building or the site as part of the
overall proposal.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, The Plan Commission approves of an Building, Site and
Operation Plan amendment for Tipsy Turtle located at S90 W13970 Boxhorn Drive / Tax Key No.
2254.998.002.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the garage doors must contain all glass panels.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, A separate Building Permit is required prior to starting the door
installation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Any signage (temporary or permanent) will require further review
for compliance with City sign code regulations and permit approvals.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, A copy of said plans must be kept on file and that all aspects of
this plan shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution
shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both.
