RESOLUTION #60-2025
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A THREE-YEAR REPAYMENT
AGREEMENT FOR POLICE OFFICER APPLICANTS
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego Police Department recruits for the position of Police Officer;
and
WHEREAS, the City covers the expenses related to the State of Wisconsin 720-hour Law
Enforcement Academy and other expenses related to training and outfitting new officers; and
WHEREAS, the City is seeking reimbursement of expenses related to outfitting and training
new Police Officer recruits up to $5,000 if they voluntarily leave employment within 3 years
from the date of hire; and
WHEREAS, the enclosed agreement would be entered into by Police Officer applicants who
want further consideration in the hiring process; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement has been reviewed and approved by the Mayor and City Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego
does hereby authorize the implementation of a three-year repayment agreement for police
officer applicants.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the Agreement in
the name of the City, and the City Attorney is authorized to make substantive changes to the
Agreement as may be necessary in order to preserve the general intent thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to sign such substantive changes
made by the City Attorney.
