AWARD OF BID
City of Muskego Cleaning Services (2025-2027)
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego requested proposals from five companies to perform cleaning services
for the City of Muskego based on a three-year contract (2025-2027); that this is a service contract and
as such, does not need to be formally bid as a construction project under the laws of the State of
Wisconsin; and
WHEREAS, all companies had a mandatory site meeting and walk through of the buildings; and
WHEREAS, the first document attached is all of the bids received from all five companies; all five
companies were over the City of Muskego budget; and
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego staff reviewed all of the proposals and checked references; staff
reached out to Dan Plautz Cleaning Service, Inc. to revisit the scope of services; and
WHEREAS, Dan Plautz Cleaning Services, Inc. is more than qualified to do this work having
experience cleaning municipal and school buildings; the final bid for three years from Dan Plautz
Cleaning Services, Inc. and Contract are attached for review; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has reviewed the attached bid from Dan Plautz Cleaning Services,
Inc. as well as the attached Contract and has recommended approval to the Common Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego, upon the
recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby accept the attached bid and Contract
submitted by Dan Plautz Cleaning Services, Inc.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to sign the Contract in the
name of the City and the City Attorney is authorized to make substantive changes to the Contract as
may be necessary in order to preserve the general intent thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to sign such substantive changes made by
the City Attorney.
