WHEREAS, The Library Family Restroom Remodel Project consists of general construction
(interior), minor mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work at the Muskego Public Library located
at S73W16663 Janesville Road, Muskego, WI 53150; said remodel project went out to public
bid in accordance with Wisconsin State Statutes; and
WHEREAS, The Library Family Restroom Remodel Project is part of the Common Council
approved 2023 Capital Budget; and
WHEREAS, Only one bid was received for the project; said bid was provided by William
Sackerson Construction Company, Inc. located in Cudahy, Wisconsin; and
WHEREAS, The Library Board has approved the bid provided by William Sackerson
Construction Company, Inc., at its June 20, 2023 meeting, in the amount of $35,600.00 plus an
additional $5,000.00 construction contingency due to the unknown conditions many times
encountered in completing work in an existing building; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the bid and concurs with the
recommendation from the Library Director and award of the project by the Library Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego,
upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby accept the bid submitted by
William Sackerson Construction Company, Inc. in the amount of $35,600.00 plus an additional
contingency of $5,000.00 for the Library Family Restroom Remodel Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Library Board President is authorized to sign the
Contract in the name of the City and the City Attorney is authorized to make substantive
changes to the Contract as may be necessary in order to preserve the general intent thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Library Board President is authorized to sign such
substantive changes made by the City Attorney.
